My love for chows
started when I was about 5 years old. My father who was in sales had a customer who had a litter of Shepherd and Chow puppies.
He decided this was a perfect puppy for his family. As one of 5 children we had to take turns of holding this little ball
of fur, who had a black tongue and very soft coat. He resembled a chow more then a shepherd, so we always said we had a chow.
We called him Fuzzy. We never bought dog food that I can remember. He ate what we ate. He was hit by a truck at age 19. I
am not sure how long he would have lived as he was still getting around well, He was going blind and had some hearing
defect but he was still very much a part of my life. I buried him in my flower bed.
